The Ultimate Bench Tool for Module Virginizing & Repair

When a vehicle is involved in an accident, the SRS module locks up with “Crash Data.” Dealerships will tell you the module is bricked and charge you $800 for a new one. When an instrument cluster dies, a used junkyard cluster won’t start the car because the IMMO and mileage don’t match.

The CARPROG V10.93 is engineered to break these manufacturer hardware locks. It is a universal EEPROM and Microcontroller (MCU) programmer designed for independent mechanics and micro-soldering experts who prefer to rebuild, virginize, and reprogram existing modules rather than overpaying for new ones.

Core Capabilities of the CARPROG V10.93 Workstation

1. Advanced Airbag (SRS) Crash Data Reset Unlike basic OBD2 scanners that only clear soft codes, CARPROG performs deep-level resets. For modules that block OBD access after a deployment, you can use the included A4 EEPROM Adapter or SOIC8 Test Clip to read the chip directly on the bench, erase the crash data hex code, and revive the module.

  • Extensive Coverage: Direct connection or OBD support for VAG, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Porsche, and more.

  • CR16 Airbag Tool: Specifically covers Audi, Mercedes, and Volvo modules utilizing the CR16 architecture.

2. Direct EEPROM & Motorola MCU Flashing Whether you are working with an ST92 (ST92F120, ST92F150, ST92F250) or complex Motorola processors, CARPROG provides the exact breakout cables you need.

  • Read/Write Motorola (Freescale) HC05, HC11, HC08, 912, and 9S12 MPUs.

  • In-circuit programming capabilities allow you to read chips without completely desoldering them from the board.

3. Dashboard Calibration & IMMO PIN Reading Replacing a dead gauge cluster requires syncing the data to the vehicle’s ECU.

  • Extract PIN codes from VAG Kessy systems (A8, Touareg, Phaeton, Cayenne).

  • Reprogram VAG VDO dashboards, Micronas clusters (Golf, Passat 2007+), and perform mileage matching via CAN or K-Line.

  • Sync BMW EWS modules using the included A11 adapter.

4. Car Radio Code Calculator Lost the anti-theft radio code after a battery swap? CARPROG includes CC1, CC2, and CCN decoders. It can extract codes for Philips, Renault, Audi, VW, Seat, and decode the notorious RNS510 navigation units.

The Complete 21-Adapter Package

⚠️ Strict Operating System Rules

This is a highly specialized piece of engineering software. It will NOT work on Windows 10, Windows 11, or any 64-bit operating system. You must install the CARPROG software on a clean, offline laptop running Windows XP or Windows 7 (32-bit). Disable all antivirus software before inserting the CD, as system firewalls will falsely flag and delete the EEPROM executable files.

🛑 Legal & Risk Management Disclaimer

The odometer calibration and IMMO syncing functions of this tool are designed strictly for legal repair purposes—such as matching a replacement instrument cluster to the vehicle’s true and documented mileage. Modifying an odometer to defraud a buyer is a serious federal crime. FixPartHub assumes no liability for the misuse of this tool. Always ensure airbag modules are handled safely and tested properly before re-installation.

I was skeptical, but the CARPROG V10.93 bench setup is legit. I needed to virginize used instrument cluster for an Audi A4. It read the VAG Kessy PIN code and allowed me to sync the new cluster to the ECU seamlessly. Make sure your laptop is offline when you use it so Windows Defender doesn’t delete the executable files.
