Robust Hardware Design
The DICE unit is built for the harsh garage environment. It features an integrated CARB diagnostic cable that powers the unit directly from the vehicle’s battery. The casing includes a robust folding hook, designed to hang the unit safely from a grab handle during test drives. A dedicated 12V DC input on the opposite end allows for firmware upgrades and bench troubleshooting.

Operating System: You MUST use Windows 7 Professional (32-bit or 64-bit). Win XP, Win 7 Home, Win 10, and Win 11 are NOT supported.

Drive Formatting: Must be installed on the C:// Drive, which must be formatted in NTFS. You need at least 30GB of free space.

Q: The “Communication Tool” shows a red “X”. How do I fix this? A: This is a registry issue. Navigate to the folder INSTALL -> Utils. Run the file EnableIEHostingx86.reg (for 32-bit systems) or EnableIEHostingx64.reg (for 64-bit systems) as an Administrator. This will fix the communication bridge immediately.
Q: I am getting a “Security OK but not OK” error during installation. A: This error typically means your operating system architecture is conflicting. To resolve this completely, install the software on a clean Windows 7 32-bit machine.
Q: Can the DICE 2014D do ECU programming/coding or change the dashboard language? A: No. This tool is a full-system diagnostic scanner, not an active flash programmer. You cannot change regional dashboard languages or flash raw ECU bins. That requires authorized dealer access or a dedicated EEPROM flasher.
Q: Can I change the “Speed Auto-Lock” feature using this tool? A: To change features like auto-lock, you need to read/write the DIM (Driver Information Module) and ICM (Infotainment Control Module) flash memory. The DICE 2014D cannot do this natively. You must use specialized third-party interfaces capable of reading DIM/ICM chips, or visit a dealer.
